R Education and Academic Development (READ) signs MoU with the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The MoU was signed on June 28, 2021 by Mr. Imran Khan, President of READ, and H.E. Major General Masood Ahmad Azizi of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The visit comes within the framework of joint efforts to open new horizons of cooperation between the University, being an educational institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates, and the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The objective is to provide various scholarships opportunities to students from Afghanistan located locally and internationally. Scholarships offered are up to 50% for City University Ajman and Career Enhancement Center and 10% for City American School and City School. In addition, to recognize CU Ajman as a well renowned University in Afghanistan, to establish industry and academic collaborations and participate in the local community’s prosperity through various activities. This collaboration also aims to contribute to the overall development of areas of mutual interests.

Furthermore, READ will provide the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan employees with scholarships at all READ entities. During the meeting, both parties discussed the possibility of recruiting students from Afghanistan and providing them with an advanced and well-rounded educational experience.

H.E. Major General Masood Ahmad Azizi expressed his interest in the university’s achievements and academic programs. Both parties believe in providing opportunities to their employees to enhance their knowledge base and they plan to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility to ensure they are promoting positive and progressive change effectively throughout the communities.

At the end of the meeting, H.E. Major General Masood Ahmad Azizi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Imran Khan for the warm reception and hospitality.
