City University Ajman hosts its First Virtual International Conference of Human Resource Management

City University Ajman hosts its First Virtual International Conference of Human Resource Management titled: “Foreseeing the Future of Human Resources post COVID 19: Challenges and Opportunities.”

CU Ajman President, Mr. Imran Khan, inaugurated the conference by welcoming a diverse panel of participants and discussed the challenges of human capital management brought by the pandemic, the effects of such challenges in the global business community and the digital transformation it has erupted.

The conference was led by HRM Department Chair, Dr. Hossam Korany. Attendees and participants included directors and supervisors of HRM Department, academicians and HR professionals from different regions of the country. The conference was conducted over a time period of two days, during which sessions were conducted in both Arabic and English.

The discussion panel brought forth topics such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Employee Efficiency, Technology Evolution, Corporate tools for customer interaction and much more. The impact of the pandemic on educational institutions was discussed; suggestions and queries pertaining to distance learning were analyzed. Furthermore, subjects such as post Covid-19 challenges in the employment sectors of various industries and the strategies that will be practiced in a virtual business world were explored. The deliberations of the panel circulated around the idea of the ongoing developmental phase of various public and private sectors including educational institutions.

The goal of the conference aimed to instill the perception of sustainable, virtual and ever-changing dynamics of the business world in addition to setting forth a concept of developmental human resource management strategies. This First Edition of the conference allowed speakers to present their thoughts on the impact and after-effects of COVID-19 on businesses in the UAE and around the world.

CU Ajman President, Mr. Imran Khan, concluded the First Virtual International Conference of Human Resource Management with an objective that all expert opinions and discussions will be further explored to see its application beyond the conference. In addition, he recognized the efforts of the conference members and commended their work.
