City University Ajman participates in China Education Expo and visits 5 public universities in Shanghai to explore areas of mutual collaboration.

Ajman, United Arab Emirates: City University Ajman (CU Ajman) participated in China Education Expo (CEE), which took place in Shanghai on October 26-27, 2019 alongside other higher education institutions from Ajman. The participation came under the umbrella and in partnership with the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and sought to introduce and promote the higher educational sector of Ajman to the ever-expanding international market of China, and serve as an opportunity to explore academic collaborations with higher education institutions based in the region.

CU Ajman President, Mr. Imran Khan, and Director of Enrollment, Ms. Salma Senaran, along with international students team were welcomed by five public universities in Shanghai (Shanghai Business School, Shanghai Lixin University Accounting and Finance, Shanghai Normal University, Jiangsu Normal University, and Dulwich University Shanghai) to explore areas of mutual cooperation in student and faculty exchange, research and development, and to collaborate on the introduction of technology programs to CU Ajman.  In addition, the University’s international student recruitment team conducted school visits and participated in school exhibitions to further international student outreach efforts.

Commenting on Shanghai’s visit, Mr. Khan stated, “Our participation in The China Education Expo aims to increase on our internationalization plan and footprint, further promote the Emirate of Ajman as an educational hub to international markets.” He added, “It is an opportunity for us to explore areas of academic cooperation, and the latest tools and specializations that serves the development of the educational sector in the Emirate.”

CU Ajman participation at China Education Expo was amongst 600 educational institutions representing 40 countries. The exhibition attracts more than 60,000 visitors annually.
